What this part is
The Alcatel 3X 2020 charging port sits at the bottom of the phone on a flex cable that links it to the main board. A worn port, liquid damage or a cable pulled at an angle can stop the phone charging or connecting to a computer.
This flex has the port already fitted, so no soldering is needed. The old flex is unplugged and the new one fitted in its place.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read 3X (2020) and the model number should start 5061.
The 3X 2020 has a different charging part from the 3X 2019 (5048). Check before ordering.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Alcatel 3X 2020 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Remove the back cover with a plastic opening tool, then remove the screws holding the inner cover.
- Disconnect the battery connector before touching any other part.
- Unplug the old charging port flex from the main board and lift it out.
- Fit the new flex in the same position and press its connector firmly home.
- Refit the inner cover, screws and back cover.
- Reconnect the battery, power on and test charging and USB data.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
