Overview
What this part is
The 2019 iPad 10.2-inch charges through a Lightning port on a flex cable at the bottom of the tablet. Constant use while charging wears the port, and dirt packed into it stops the cable seating fully.
This flex has the Lightning port already fitted. Reaching it means taking the screen off, which is the most delicate part of the job. If the iPad shows "Accessory not supported" with several good cables, or charges only at an angle, the port flex is the usual cause.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPad off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the screen slowly with thin opening picks, avoiding the display cables, and disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the screws and brackets over the charging flex and ease the old flex away from its adhesive.
- Fit the new flex in the same position and seat its connector firmly.
- Reconnect the battery and screen and test the repair before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, close the iPad and press evenly while it cures.
- Test charging, USB data and the speakers.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my iPad 10.2 (2019)?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPad (7th generation), models A2197, A2198 or A2200.
Does it fit the iPad 9.7-inch?
No. The iPad 9.7-inch (2017 and 2018) uses a different charging flex.
Will this fix "Accessory not supported"?
Often, yes, if the fault is a damaged or worn port. Clean the port and try a known good Apple cable first.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port flex cable made to fit the iPad 10.2-inch (2019), and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The iPad 10.2-inch screen is glued in place and cracks easily during opening, so heat, thin opening picks and new adhesive are needed.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders over £5. You can also collect from our shop at 33 Moulton Street, Manchester M8 8FQ.
