What this part is
The iPad mini 4 power (top) button and volume buttons all press on one flex cable inside the tablet. If the flex is torn, worn or damaged by liquid, the buttons stop clicking or stop responding.
This part replaces that flex. If a button only feels stuck from the outside, the outer button cap may be the cause instead. The screen has to come off to reach the flex.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPad mini 4. Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A1550).
The iPad mini 4 and mini 5 look alike but use different button flexes.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPad mini 4 off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the screen slowly with thin opening picks, avoiding the display cables, and disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the brackets over the button flex and lift the old flex carefully off its adhesive.
- Fit the new flex, line up each switch with its button and seat the connector.
- Reconnect the battery and screen and test the repair before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, close the iPad and press evenly while it cures.
- Test the power button and both volume buttons.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
