The iPad Pro 12.9 inch from 2021 onwards uses Apple's Liquid Retina XDR display with a mini-LED backlight — these assemblies are designed as direct replacements for models A2378, A2461, and A2379. Compatible with both the 2021 (5th Generation) and 2022 (6th Generation) 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Compatible Models

This assembly is compatible with the following iPad Pro 12.9 inch model numbers: A2378 (5th Gen WiFi), A2461 (5th Gen WiFi + Cellular), and A2379 (5th/6th Gen Cellular). Confirm your model at Settings > General > About or on the rear of the device before ordering.

Before You Buy

This part is designed for the iPad Pro 12.9 inch 5th Generation (2021) and compatible 2022 models. It is not compatible with earlier iPad Pro 12.9 inch generations. The connector and display dimensions differ between generations — verify your model before ordering.

This part does not include the rear chassis, Smart Connector, or Apple Pencil charging strip.

Installation Notes

The iPad Pro 12.9 display is secured with strong perimeter adhesive. Heat application is required to release the bond before the display can be separated safely. Take particular care around the Face ID sensor bar at the top of the display. Professional installation by an experienced repair technician is strongly recommended. We will not accept returns on parts that have been installed.

Test the display before full installation: connect without removing the protective film and confirm display and touch function before fitting.
