What this part is
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has its side (power) button switch and rear camera flash on one flex cable. A drop, liquid damage or a tear during an earlier repair can stop the side button clicking and leave the torch dead.
This flex replaces both. It is fitted deep inside the phone, so the screen and some internal parts must be removed. If only the outer button cap is bent, the flex may not be at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPhone 11 Pro Max. Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A2218).
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5-inch screen. The iPhone 11 Pro is smaller, with a 5.8-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max off, remove the two pentalobe screws next to the charging port and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Open the display carefully and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the parts covering the power button flex, including the rear camera, and unclip the old flex.
- Fit the new flex, line up the switch with the side button and refit the brackets and screws.
- Reconnect the display and battery, then test the repair before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and press evenly while it cures.
- Test the side button, torch and camera flash.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
