What this part is
The iPhone 12 Pro Max plays ringtones, alerts, media and speakerphone calls through the loudspeaker at the bottom of the phone, working with the earpiece at the top for stereo sound. Water, dust or a blown speaker can make it crackle, sound tinny or go silent.
This part replaces the bottom loudspeaker. If you can hear callers through the earpiece but ringtones and speakerphone are silent or distorted, this is usually the part to change. If there is no sound anywhere, the fault may be on the main board.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPhone 12 Pro Max. Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A2342).
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen, three rear cameras and a LiDAR scanner. The iPhone 12 Pro is smaller, with a 6.1-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone 12 Pro Max off, remove the two pentalobe screws next to the charging port and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Open the display carefully and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the screws holding the loudspeaker at the bottom of the phone.
- Lift out the old loudspeaker and fit the new one, keeping the gasket in place.
- Reconnect the display and battery, then test the repair before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and press evenly while it cures.
- Test ringtones, media and a speakerphone call.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Does it fit the iPhone 12 Pro?
No. The iPhone 12 Pro uses a different loudspeaker. This part is made only for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Is this the earpiece or the bottom speaker?
This is the bottom loudspeaker. It handles ringtones, media and speakerphone. The earpiece at the top of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is a separate part.

Should I fit it myself?
