Overview
What this part is
On the iPhone 13 mini, the side (power) button contacts, the volume button contacts and the NFC coil used for Apple Pay share one flex assembly. Liquid damage, a hard knock or a torn cable can stop the buttons clicking through or stop contactless payments working.
This part replaces the whole flex assembly. It sits under the main board area, so the iPhone 13 mini needs almost full disassembly. If the buttons feel stuck in the frame, the fault may be the metal button caps rather than the flex.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPhone 13 mini. Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A2481).
The iPhone 13 mini has a 5.4-inch screen and two rear cameras set diagonally. The iPhone 12 mini is the same size, but its cameras sit in a vertical line.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone 13 mini off, remove the two pentalobe screws next to the charging port and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Open the display carefully and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the rear camera, main board and the brackets covering the flex.
- Peel out the old flex and fit the new one, lining up each button contact.
- Refit the main board, cameras and brackets.
- Reconnect the display and battery, then test the repair before sealing.
- Seal the phone, then test side button, volume, Apple Pay and wireless charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my iPhone 13 mini?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPhone 13 mini. It fits models A2481, A2626, A2628, A2629 and A2630. It does not fit the iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 13.
Does it fit the iPhone 12 mini?
No. The iPhone 12 mini uses a different nfc coil with power & volume flex. This part is made only for the iPhone 13 mini.
Does this include the NFC coil?
Yes. The flex includes the NFC coil used for Apple Pay, as well as the side button and volume button contacts for the iPhone 13 mini.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality nfc coil with power & volume flex made to fit the iPhone 13 mini, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening a iPhone 13 mini needs heat, pentalobe and tri-point screwdrivers and new adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected safely.
