What this part is
The SIM tray on the iPhone 13 Pro Max slides into the side of the frame and holds your nano-SIM card against the reader. It also has a small rubber seal that helps keep dust and moisture out. A bent or broken tray can stop the phone reading the SIM, and a missing tray leaves the slot open.
Fitting it needs only a SIM eject pin. If the phone still shows No SIM with a new tray, the SIM reader inside the phone may be damaged, and that is a separate repair.

Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPhone 13 Pro Max. Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A2643).
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen and three rear cameras. The iPhone 13 Pro is smaller, with a 6.1-inch screen.

- Power the phone off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray on your iPhone 13 Pro Max and pull the old tray out.
- Place your nano-SIM card in the new tray with the cut corner matching the tray shape.
- Slide the tray in the right way up and push gently until it sits flush.
- Power on and check the phone shows your network and signal.
