What this part is
The SIM card tray holds your nano-SIM in the side of the iPhone XS. Trays are easy to lose, bend or scratch, and a bent tray may not sit flush or may not hold the SIM firmly against the contacts.
This is a replacement nano-SIM tray. This is the single nano-SIM tray used on UK models. It is not the dual-SIM tray sold in some other countries. It pushes into the slot by hand, and you use a SIM eject pin to remove it again. No heat or tools are needed to open the phone.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPhone XS. Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A1920).
The iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch screen and two rear cameras. The iPhone XS Max is larger, with a 6.5-inch screen.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone XS off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray to release the old tray, if one is fitted.
- Place your nano-SIM in the new tray, gold contacts facing down, matching the cut corner.
- Slide the tray straight into the slot until it sits flush with the frame.
- Power the phone on and check the network signal appears.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my iPhone XS?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPhone XS. It fits models A1920, A2097, A2098, A2099, A2100. It does not fit the iPhone X or iPhone XS Max.
Does it fit the iPhone X?
No. The iPhone X uses a different sim card tray. This part is listed only for the iPhone XS.
Will this fix a No SIM message?
Only if the old tray was bent or missing and the SIM was not sitting properly. If a No SIM message stays with a good tray and SIM, the SIM reader or main board is the likely fault.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality sim card tray made to fit the iPhone XS, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
Yes, this is one of the few parts you can fit at home. You only need a SIM eject pin. Make sure the SIM sits flat in the tray before sliding it in.
