What this part is
If callers sound faint, crackly or silent when you hold the phone to your ear, but speakerphone works, the earpiece speaker is usually at fault. Dust, moisture and wear in the top grille are common causes.
Each option is made for one model group, so pick the one that matches your phone. The earpiece sits at the top of the phone behind the display, so the screen must come off to reach it. This part is the earpiece only. It does not include the sensor flex or front camera.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About and read the model name. Pick the option that matches it exactly: iPhone 12 and 12 Pro share one option, and each iPhone 16 model has its own.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have two rear cameras. The 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have three.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the bottom screws and warm the screen edges.
- Open the display with care and disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the bracket over the top of the phone and lift out the old earpiece.
- Fit the new earpiece, keeping the sensor flex and front camera undisturbed.
- Reconnect and test call audio before sealing the phone.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and make a test call.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my iPhone?
Yes, if your model is listed in the options and you pick the matching one. Check Settings › General › About for the model name.
Does the iPhone 16 earpiece fit the iPhone 12?
No. Each option is made for its own model group. Order the iPhone 12 / 12 Pro option for those phones.
My speakerphone works but calls are quiet. Is this the right part?
Usually yes. Speakerphone uses the bottom loudspeaker, while calls at your ear use the earpiece. Clean the top grille first, as dirt can also muffle the sound.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality earpiece speaker made to fit the iPhone model you select, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The screen has to be removed, and the sensor flex next to the earpiece is easy to damage.
