What this part is
The Google Pixel 8 display is a single bonded part. The cover glass, touch layer and panel are joined, so a cracked front, patchy touch or a picture with lines means the whole assembly is replaced.
This OLED assembly arrives already fitted to a new mid-frame. The fitter moves the battery, main board, cameras and small parts across, which avoids prising the screen from the old frame. It uses an OLED panel, the same display type the phone was sold with. The Pixel 8's fingerprint sensor sits under the display, so after fitting you will need to set up your fingerprints again, and Google may ask for the sensor to be recalibrated. Test it before you close the phone.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 8. The model code (GKWS6, GPJ41 or G9BQD) is printed on the box and in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch screen and two rear cameras. The Pixel 8 Pro is larger and has three.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the edges of the old screen to soften the adhesive.
- Open the phone carefully and disconnect the battery before any other connector.
- Move the battery, main board, cameras, speakers and small parts into the new Pixel 8 frame.
- Connect the new screen and test display, touch and brightness before closing.
- Seal the back with new adhesive and press evenly while it cures.
- Final check: display, touch, fingerprint, calls, speakers, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Pixel 8?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 8. It fits models GKWS6, GPJ41 and G9BQD. It does not fit the Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a or Pixel 7.
Does it fit the Pixel 8 Pro?
No. The Pixel 8 Pro has a larger 6.7-inch screen and a different frame. The Pixel 8a is also different. This part is for the Pixel 8 only.
What is the difference between this and a screen without a frame?
This OLED screen comes pre-fitted to a new Pixel 8 mid-frame. The battery, board and small parts move into the new frame, so the screen never has to be pried off the old one. It is usually quicker and leaves a flatter finish.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality OLED screen assembly made to fit the Google Pixel 8, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening a Pixel 8 needs heat, thin tools and fresh adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected first.
