What this part is
The Google Pixel 8 display is one bonded unit: the cover glass, touch digitiser and display panel cannot be separated. If the glass is cracked, touch stops responding, or the picture shows lines, flicker or black patches, the whole assembly needs replacing.
This version comes pre-fitted to a new mid-frame. The technician moves the battery, main board and small parts into the new frame, which avoids separating the screen from the old frame and gives a neat, flat finish. It uses an LCD panel. The Pixel 8 was sold with an OLED screen, and LCD replacements usually do not support the optical fingerprint sensor under the display. Face Unlock and your PIN are not affected.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 8, not Pixel 8 Pro or Pixel 8a. The model code (GKWS6, GPJ41 or G9BQD) is printed on the box and in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch screen and two rear cameras. The Pixel 8 Pro is larger and has three.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Open the display carefully and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Move the battery, main board, cameras and small parts into the new frame.
- Connect the new screen and test display, touch and brightness before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and press evenly while the adhesive cures.
- Run a final check: display, touch, calls, speakers, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Pixel 8?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 8. It fits models GKWS6, GPJ41 and G9BQD. It does not fit the Pixel 8 Pro or Pixel 8a.
Will the in-screen fingerprint sensor work?
It may not. This is an LCD replacement, and the Pixel 8's optical fingerprint sensor is designed for an OLED screen. Face Unlock and your PIN or pattern still work.
What is the difference between this and the screen without a frame?
This version comes pre-fitted to a new mid-frame. The internal parts are moved into it, so the screen never has to be separated from the old frame. It is usually quicker and gives a cleaner finish.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality LCD assembly made to fit the Google Pixel 8, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening a Pixel 8 needs heat, the right tools and new adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected safely.
