Overview
What this part is
The Google Pixel 8a display is a single bonded part. The cover glass, touch layer and panel are joined, so a cracked front, patchy touch or a picture with lines means the whole assembly is replaced.
This is the OLED screen and digitiser on its own, with no frame. It fits into your Pixel 8a's existing frame after the old screen and adhesive are removed. It uses an OLED panel, the same display type the phone was sold with. The Pixel 8a's fingerprint sensor sits under the display, so after fitting you will need to set up your fingerprints again, and Google may ask for the sensor to be recalibrated. Test it before you close the phone.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The Pixel 8a glass is cracked, chipped or shattered
- The display stays black although the phone rings or vibrates
- Green or white lines, flicker or dark patches appear on the picture
- Touch misses taps in some areas, or the phone types by itself
How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 8a. The model code (GKV4X, G6GPR or G8HHN) is printed on the box and in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 8a has a 6.1-inch screen with rounded corners and two rear cameras. The Pixel 8 is slightly larger, with a 6.2-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the old screen out slowly and disconnect the battery first.
- Clean all old adhesive from the frame and check the frame is not bent.
- Connect the new screen and test display and touch before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, seat the screen and press evenly around the edges.
- Final check: display, touch, fingerprint, calls, proximity sensor and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Pixel 8a?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 8a. It fits models GKV4X, G6GPR and G8HHN. It does not fit the Pixel 8, Pixel 7a or Pixel 8 Pro.
Does it fit the Pixel 7a?
No. The Pixel 7a is a similar size, but its screen and frame are different, so this part will not fit it. It is for the Pixel 8a only.
Will the in-screen fingerprint sensor work?
The sensor reads through the OLED panel, so it is designed to work with this type of screen. You will need to register your fingerprints again, and Google's Pixel calibration step may be needed. Test it before sealing the phone.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality OLED screen assembly made to fit the Google Pixel 8a, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening a Pixel 8a needs heat, thin tools and fresh adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected first.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5.
