Overview
What this part is
The Pixel 9a display is one bonded part: cover glass, touch digitiser and OLED panel together. If the glass is cracked, the screen stays black, or touch misbehaves, the whole assembly is replaced.
This screen comes without a mid-frame, so it is bonded into the phone's existing frame with new adhesive. The Pixel 9a reads fingerprints through the display, so delete and re-register fingerprints once the repair is done.

Before you order
Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The screen glass is cracked or crazed
- The display is black while sounds still play
- Flicker, lines or patches of colour appear
- Touch lags, misses taps or presses by itself
How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 9a. The model code (GXQ96, GTF7P or G3Y12) is under Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels and on the box.
The Pixel 9a has a flat camera area on the back with two cameras, unlike the camera bar on the Pixel 9.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Pixel 9a off and warm the screen edges to loosen the adhesive.
- Separate the broken screen from the frame slowly, working away from the cables.
- Disconnect the battery, unplug the old display and clean off all old adhesive.
- Plug in the new screen and test picture and touch before sealing.
- Apply fresh adhesive, press the screen into place and clamp it while it cures.
- Re-register fingerprints and check calls, speakers, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Pixel 9a?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 9a. It is listed for models GXQ96, GTF7P and G3Y12.
Does it fit the Pixel 8a?
No. The Pixel 8a uses a different screen. It also does not fit the Pixel 9.
Does it come with a frame?
No. This is the screen and digitiser only, bonded into your existing frame with new adhesive.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality OLED assembly made to fit the Google Pixel 9a, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The old screen has to be heated and lifted without damaging the flex cables.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5.
