The iPhone 16 Pro Max left the factory with an LTPO OLED display. LTPO lets the screen change its refresh rate, up to 120Hz ProMotion for smooth scrolling and down low for the always-on display.
This is our top-tier iPhone 16 Pro Max screen: an LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED assembly with ProMotion 120Hz adaptive refresh. OLED pixels light themselves, so blacks are deep and colours stay vivid. It is the best choice if you want the repaired phone to look and feel as close to new as possible. After fitting, iOS may still show a parts notice for the display in Settings. Move your old screen's earpiece and sensor parts over only if the new screen does not include them.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16 Pro Max. Tap the Model Number once to see the A-number (A3084, A3295, A3296, A3297).
The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen, three rear cameras and a titanium frame. The iPhone 16 Pro is smaller at 6.3 inches.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone 16 Pro Max off and warm the screen edges.
- Open the display and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unplug the old display and move over any parts it carries.
- Connect the new LTPO OLED and check picture, touch and smooth scrolling.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and press evenly.
- Run a final check: display, touch, always-on display, Face ID and calls.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
