What this part is
The Galaxy A05 display is one bonded part. The cover glass, touch digitiser and LCD panel cannot be separated, so cracked glass, dead touch or a picture with lines means the whole assembly is replaced.
This version comes pre-fitted to a new mid-frame. The technician moves the battery, boards and small parts across into the new frame, so the screen never has to be prised off the old one. The A05 shipped with an LCD screen, so this is the same display type.

Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model number starts with SM-. It should read SM-A055F.
The A05 has a 6.7-inch screen. The A05s has a very similar name but uses a different screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray and back cover.
- Disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Move the battery, main board, sub board, cameras, speaker and small flex cables into the new frame.
- Connect the new screen and test display, touch and brightness before closing.
- Refit the back cover with new adhesive where needed and press evenly.
- Final check: display, touch, calls, speakers, buttons, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
