What this part is
The Galaxy A17 5G display is one bonded unit: the cover glass, touch digitiser and display panel cannot be separated. If the glass cracks, touch stops working, or the picture shows lines or black patches, the whole assembly is changed.
This version comes pre-fitted to a new mid-frame. The technician moves the battery, boards, cameras and small parts into the new frame, so the screen never has to be separated from the old one. This is an In-Cell LCD, where the touch layer is built into the LCD panel. The Galaxy A17 5G was sold with an AMOLED screen, so colour, brightness and black levels will look different.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A17 5G and the model number should be SM-A176B.
The Galaxy A17 4G uses model number SM-A175F and needs a different screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, warm the back cover and lift it off.
- Remove the screws and plates, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Move the battery, main board, sub-board, cameras, speaker and small flex cables into the new frame.
- Connect the new screen and test display, touch and brightness before closing.
- Refit the plates and screws, apply new back cover adhesive and press the cover down.
- Run a final check: display, touch, calls, speakers, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
