What this part is
The Galaxy A17 5G display is one bonded unit: the cover glass, touch digitiser and display panel cannot be separated. If the glass cracks, touch stops working, or the picture shows lines or black patches, the whole assembly is changed.
This version is the screen assembly only, without a frame. The old screen is removed from the existing frame and the new one is bonded in with fresh adhesive. This is an LCD panel. The Galaxy A17 5G was sold with an AMOLED screen, so brightness, colour and black levels may differ.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A17 5G and the model number should be SM-A176B.
The Galaxy A17 4G uses model number SM-A175F and needs a different screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the back cover and the plate over the main board.
- Disconnect the battery, then unplug the display flex cable.
- Warm the screen edges and lift the old screen out of the frame, feeding its flex through.
- Clean all old adhesive from the frame and fit new adhesive.
- Connect the new screen and test display and touch before pressing it into place.
- Refit the plate and back cover, then check calls, speakers, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

The Galaxy A17 5G reads fingerprints through the side key, not through the screen, so a screen change does not affect it.
