The Galaxy A40 is a compact phone, and its side keys press onto a thin internal flex cable connected to the main board. Wear, a knock on the edge or liquid damage can break the contacts, leaving the power or volume keys dead or unreliable.
This part replaces the flex cable inside the phone. The outer button caps are part of the frame and stay in place.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A40. The model number is also shown there.
The Galaxy A40 is smaller than the A50 and A41. Their internal parts are different.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Turn the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm and lift the back cover carefully.
- Unscrew the internal cover and disconnect the battery.
- Unplug and remove the old button flex cable.
- Fit the new cable, lining up the switches with each key, and connect it.
- Reconnect the battery, test the buttons and refit the back cover with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Does it fit the Galaxy A41 or A50?
No. The A41 and A50 use different side key flex cables.
