What this part is
On the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) the glass, touch layer and LCD panel are supplied together as one assembly. If the glass cracks, touch fails in patches or the picture shows lines, replacing the full assembly is the reliable fix.
The screen is held in with adhesive, so fitting needs gentle heat, thin opening tools and new adhesive. The tablet must be powered off and the battery disconnected before the display cable is released.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone (on a tablet: Settings › About tablet). The model number should read SM-T307 (often shown as SM-T307U). It is also printed on the back of the tablet.
The Tab A 8.4 (2020) has an 8.4-inch screen. The Tab A 8.0 is a different size and needs a different screen.

- Power the tablet off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the screen carefully with thin tools, working round the edges.
- Disconnect the battery before releasing the display cable.
- Connect the new screen and test display and touch before sealing.
- Clean the frame, apply new adhesive and press the screen in evenly.
- Check display, touch, brightness, cameras and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
