What this part is
The earpiece at the top of the Pixel 2 XL carries the other person's voice during calls held to your ear. The Pixel 2 XL has front-facing stereo speakers, so this top speaker also plays part of the sound for media. Dust, liquid and drops can damage it, so calls become quiet, muffled or crackly.
This part replaces the earpiece speaker. Before ordering, check the top grille is clean and try a call with the volume turned up. If others cannot hear you, the microphone is the fault, not the earpiece.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 2 XL. The model number G011C is printed on the box and in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 2 XL has a 6-inch screen. The Pixel 2 is smaller, with a 5-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Pixel 2 XL off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the screen carefully and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the old earpiece speaker from the top of the phone.
- Fit the new earpiece in the same position, making sure the contacts line up.
- Reconnect the battery and make a test call before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and press evenly while it cures.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Pixel 2 XL?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 2 XL (model G011C). It does not fit the Pixel 2 or Pixel 3 XL.
Does it fit the Pixel 2?
No. The Pixel 2 is a smaller phone with a different layout and uses its own earpiece.
Will this fix callers not hearing me?
No. If callers cannot hear you, the microphone is at fault. This part fixes sound you hear from the top speaker.

Should I fit it myself?
