What this part is
The SIM tray on the Pixel 2 XL slides into the side of the frame and is released with a SIM ejector pin. Trays are easily lost, bent by forcing a card in, or broken if the phone is dropped with the tray out. A damaged tray can stop the SIM being read or leave a gap in the frame.
This part is the tray only. If the phone still shows no SIM with a new tray and a working SIM card, the SIM reader or main board may be at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 2 XL. The model number G011C is printed on the box and in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 2 XL has a 6-inch screen. The Pixel 2 is smaller, with a 5-inch screen.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the Pixel 2 XL off.
- Push a SIM ejector pin into the hole beside the tray until the old tray comes out.
- Place your nano-SIM card in the new tray, gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray back in the same way round until it sits flush.
- Power on and check the network name and signal bars appear.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 2 XL and your phone has a SIM tray slot. It does not fit the Pixel 2, Pixel 3 XL or Pixel 3.

No. The Pixel 2 uses a different tray. This part is made only for the Pixel 2 XL.
Does every version of this phone have a SIM tray?
The Pixel 2 XL has one nano-SIM slot. It also supports eSIM, which does not use the tray.
