What this part is
The earpiece speaker on the Google Pixel 6a sits at the top of the phone, behind the small grille above the screen. It is the speaker you hear during normal calls. Dust, moisture and drops can make it quiet, crackly or silent while speakerphone still works.
This is a replacement earpiece speaker for the Pixel 6a. Clean the grille gently first, as blocked mesh is a common cause of quiet calls. If calls stay silent with a new earpiece, the fault may be on the main board.

Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 6a, not Pixel 6 or Pixel 7a. The model code (GX7AS, GB62Z, G1AZG, GB17L) is shown in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels and on the box.
The Pixel 6a has a 6.1-inch screen and two rear cameras in a black camera bar. The Pixel 6 is larger and heavier.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Pixel 6a off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the screen edges and open the display carefully with a thin pick.
- Disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the parts covering the top of the phone and lift out the old earpiece.
- Fit the new earpiece in the same position and refit the covers.
- Reconnect the battery, test a call held to the ear, then reseal the screen.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Pixel 6a?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 6a. It fits models GX7AS, GB62Z, G1AZG, GB17L. It does not fit the Pixel 6 or Pixel 7a.
Does it fit the Pixel 6?
No. The Pixel 6 is a different phone with a different part. This earpiece speaker is made for the Pixel 6a only.
Does this fix speakerphone sound?
No. This is the earpiece at the top of the Pixel 6a, used when you hold the phone to your ear. Speakerphone and media sound come from the bottom loudspeaker, which is a separate part.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality earpiece speaker made to fit the Google Pixel 6a, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening the Pixel 6a needs heat, thin picks and new screen adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected safely before any part is changed.
