The USB-C port at the bottom of the Google Pixel 8a carries charging power and USB data. Everyday plugging in, pocket lint and drops wear the contacts, so the cable may feel loose or the phone may only charge at an angle.
This item is the USB-C port connector itself. Compare it with the photos before ordering. Fitting it means opening the phone from the screen side and removing the internal parts around the port, and on some repairs it needs micro-soldering. If the phone still does not charge with a new port and a known good cable, the battery or main board may be at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 8a, not Pixel 8. The model code (GKV4X, G6GPR, G8HHN) is shown in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels and on the box.
The Pixel 8a has a 6.1-inch screen and two rear cameras. The Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch screen and a different internal layout.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Pixel 8a off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the screen edges and open the phone carefully from the display side.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other part.
- Remove the parts covering the bottom of the phone and take out the old USB-C port.
- Fit the new port connector, using micro-soldering where the repair needs it.
- Reassemble, fit new adhesive and test charging and USB data with a known good cable.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Does it fit the Pixel 8?
No. The Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch screen and a different internal layout, and it uses a different part. This charging port connector is for the Pixel 8a only.
Will a new port fix slow charging?
It will if the old port is worn or damaged. First try a known good cable and charger, and clean the port gently. If the Pixel 8a still charges slowly with a new port, the battery may be the cause.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port connector made to fit the Google Pixel 8a, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
