What this part is
The earpiece speaker sits at the top of the Google Pixel 9 and carries the caller's voice when you hold the phone to your ear. Dust in the grille, moisture or a drop can make it quiet, crackly or silent while speakerphone still works.
This is the earpiece speaker unit only. Clean the top grille gently before ordering. Fitting it means opening the phone from the screen side.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- You cannot hear callers unless you use speakerphone
- Call audio is quiet, muffled or crackling

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 9, not Pixel 9 Pro. The model code (G2YBB, GUR25) is shown in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels and on the box.
The Pixel 9 has a 6.3-inch screen and two rear cameras. The Pixel 9 Pro has the same screen size but three rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Pixel 9 off.
- Warm the screen edges and open the phone carefully, following the correct procedure for this model.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other part.
- Remove the parts covering the top of the phone and lift out the old earpiece speaker.
- Fit the new earpiece speaker and check its contacts sit correctly.
- Reassemble with new adhesive and test call audio before finishing.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Pixel 9?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 9. It fits models G2YBB, GUR25. It also fits the Pixel 9 Pro.
Does it fit the Pixel 9 Pro XL?
No. The Pixel 9 Pro XL uses a different earpiece speaker. This part is for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.
Will this fix quiet speakerphone or ringtones?
No. Speakerphone and ringtones use the bottom loudspeaker. This part fixes the sound you hear with the phone at your ear.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality earpiece speaker made to fit the Google Pixel 9, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Pixel 9 needs heat, the right tools and new adhesive to open, and the battery must be disconnected safely.
