Overview
What this part is
The power and volume buttons on the Honor 20 press onto small switches on a thin flex cable inside the frame. After a drop, liquid or years of use those switches can fail, so a button stops clicking or stops responding.
This cable replaces the switches for the power and volume buttons in one part. On the Honor 20 the fingerprint sensor is built into the power button, so check the photos to see which parts come with this cable before ordering for a fingerprint fault. If the metal buttons themselves are bent or missing, those are separate parts.

Before you order
Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The power button does nothing when pressed
- Volume up or down does not respond
- A button feels flat, with no click
- The phone restarts or changes volume by itself
How to check your model
Open Settings › System › About phone. The model name should read Honor 20, not Honor 20 Pro. The model code is also shown there and on the phone's box.
The Honor 20 (2019) has a punch-hole front camera and a fingerprint sensor in the power button. The Honor 20 Pro looks similar but uses different parts.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Honor 20 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Remove the back cover carefully, using gentle heat if it is glued.
- Disconnect the battery connector first.
- Unclip and lift out the old button flex cable.
- Fit the new cable in place, reconnect it and test every button before closing.
- Refit the back cover with new adhesive and do a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Honor 20?
Yes, if Settings › System › About phone shows Honor 20. It is made for the Honor 20 only.
Does it fit the Honor 20 Pro?
No. The Honor 20 Pro is a different model and needs its own power and volume button flex cable.
Will this fix a button that is physically missing?
No. This cable holds the switches under the buttons. A missing or bent outer button is a separate part.
Is it made by Honor?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality power and volume button flex cable made to fit the Honor 20, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening the Honor 20 needs heat, the right tools and new adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected safely.
