What this part is
The Honor 5X charges through a micro-USB port on a small board at the bottom of the phone. Over time, the port wears out, bends or fills with dust and damp. The cable then feels loose, charging stops and starts, or the phone does not charge at all.
This part replaces the whole charging port board. Before ordering, try a different cable and charger, and clean the port gently with a wooden toothpick. If charging still fails, the board is the most likely cause.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Honor 5X, not Honor 5C, Honor 6X or Honor 7. The full model code is also shown there and on the phone box.
The Honor 5X was also sold as the Huawei GR5 in some markets. Older units may list the maker as Huawei.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the Honor 5X with the correct method for this model, using gentle heat and a thin opening tool.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other part.
- Disconnect the flex cables from the old charging board, remove its screws and lift it out.
- Fit the new board, reconnect every flex cable and screw, then reconnect the battery.
- Test charging, the USB data connection and the microphone before sealing the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Honor 5X?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Honor 5X. It is made for this model only and does not fit the Honor 5C, Honor 6X or Honor 7.
Does it fit the Honor 6X?
No. The Honor 6X uses a different part. Check the model name in Settings › About phone before ordering.
Is this a micro-USB port?
Yes. The Honor 5X charges through micro-USB, and this board has the micro-USB connector already fitted.

Should I fit it myself?
