What this part is
On the Honor 9 Lite the fingerprint sensor on the back connects to the main board through a thin flex extension cable. This cable can tear when the back is removed or after a drop, and the phone then stops showing the fingerprint option.
This cable is brand new and tested before dispatch. If the sensor surface itself is cracked, the sensor needs replacing instead. After fitting, you may need to register your fingerprints again.

Signs it needs replacing
- The phone no longer offers fingerprint unlock
- The sensor stopped working after the back was removed

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Honor 9 Lite (it may show as Huawei Honor 9 Lite on older software), not Honor 9 or Honor 9X. The full model code is shown on the same screen and on the label of the phone box.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the back cover or rear housing carefully.
- Disconnect the battery connector first.
- Unplug the old extension cable from the sensor and the main board and remove it.
- Route the new cable the same way and connect both ends firmly.
- Reconnect the battery and test fingerprint setup before closing.
- Refit the cover and register your fingerprints again.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
