What this part is
The side buttons on the Honor 9X press on small switches mounted on a thin flex cable inside the frame. If the phone has been dropped or liquid has got in, those switches can fail. The power button stops waking the screen, or the volume keys stop working.
This flex cable replaces the switches and their cable. The metal or plastic button keys on the outside are not included. Before ordering, check that a case is not pressing on the buttons and restart the phone.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The power button does not wake or lock the screen

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the device name. It should read Honor 9X, not Honor 9X Pro or Honor 9X Lite.
The Honor 9X has a pop-up front camera and no notch in the screen. The Honor 9X Lite has a small notch at the top of the screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone carefully with gentle heat and thin opening tools.
- Disconnect the battery, then remove the parts covering the side-button flex.
- Peel the old flex away from the frame and disconnect it.
- Fit the new flex in the same position, lining up each switch with its button, and reconnect it.
- Test power and volume buttons before resealing the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Honor 9X?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Honor 9X. The supplier also lists it for the Huawei Y9s. It does not fit the Honor 9X Pro, 9X Lite or 9A.
Does it fit the Honor 9X Pro?
No. This part is made for the Honor 9X and is not listed as compatible with the Honor 9X Pro. Always check the device name in Settings › About phone before ordering.
Will this fix a button that has fallen off?
No. This cable holds the switches inside the phone. If the outer button key is missing or bent, that key needs replacing separately.
Is it made by Honor?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality part made to fit the Honor 9X, and every part is tested before dispatch.
