What this part is
The side buttons on the Honor X8 press onto small switches on a thin flex cable inside the frame. If a switch wears out, or the cable is torn or damaged by liquid, the button stops working or presses itself.
One flex cable carries both the power button and the volume buttons. It is the flex cable only; the outer keys are not included. The supplier lists this flex for the Honor X8 and the Honor X30i. Compare your old flex with the photos before ordering.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads Honor X8, not Honor X8a. The model code is also shown there and on the box. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Honor X8 off and warm the back cover to soften the adhesive.
- Open the phone carefully and disconnect the battery first.
- Disconnect the old flex from the board and ease it away from the side of the frame.
- Fit the new flex so each switch lines up under its key, then connect it.
- Reconnect the battery and test power, volume up and volume down before closing.
- Fit new adhesive, close the phone and press evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Honor X8?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Honor X8. It does not fit the Honor X8a, Honor X8b, Honor X9.
Does it fit the Honor X8a?
No. The Honor X8 and Honor X8a are different phones with different internal parts. Check the model name in Settings › About phone before you order.
Are the outer buttons included?
No. This is the flex cable with the switches. You keep your existing outer keys, so check they are present and not broken.
Is it made by Honor?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality power and volume button flex cable made to fit the Honor X8, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The flex runs along the frame of the Honor X8, and the phone must be opened with the battery disconnected.
