What this part is
The HTC U11 Life SIM tray slides into the side of the frame and holds your SIM card and memory card in the right place against the reader. A bent or broken tray can stop the phone reading the SIM, or let dust and water into the slot.
The tray is blue and holds a SIM card and a microSD card. Fitting it needs only the eject pin. If the phone still shows no SIM with a new tray, the SIM reader inside the phone may be damaged, and that is a separate repair.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads HTC U11 Life, not HTC U11. The model code is also shown there and on the box. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Push the eject pin into the small hole beside the tray on your U11 Life and pull the old tray out.
- Place your nano-SIM card in the new tray with the cut corner matching the tray shape.
- Slide the tray in the right way up and push gently until it sits flush.
- Power on and check the phone shows your network and signal.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Which way round does the tray go in?
The SIM card sits face down in the tray, with the cut corner matching the corner of the slot. Slide the tray in with the SIM facing the screen side as the old tray did, and never force it.
Is it made by HTC?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality sim card tray made to fit the HTC U11 Life, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
Yes, this part is simple to fit. You only need the eject pin. If the old tray is stuck or broken inside the slot, we recommend professional installation so the SIM reader is not damaged.
