What this part is
On the Huawei Mate 20 the power and volume buttons press small switches mounted on one flex cable inside the frame. Drops, liquid and wear can break a switch or the cable, so a button stops working or acts on its own.
This part replaces the full side button flex. Fitting it restores power, volume up and volume down. It does not include the outer button caps.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mate 20, not a Pro, Lite or other version. The model code (HMA-L09 or HMA-L29) is shown under Settings › About phone › Model.
The Mate 20 has a 6.53-inch screen with a small teardrop notch and a rear fingerprint sensor. The Mate 20 Pro has a curved screen, a wide notch and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the glass back, open it and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the covers and parts over the side button flex.
- Lift the old flex from the frame and fit the new one, lining each switch up with its button.
- Reconnect the battery and test power, volume up and volume down.
- Reassemble, reseal the back and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Mate 20?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Mate 20. It is made for models HMA-L09 and HMA-L29. It does not fit the Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 Lite, Mate 20 X.
Does it fit the Mate 20 Pro?
No. The Mate 20 Pro has a different frame and flex. This part is for the standard Mate 20 only.
Does it include the button caps?
No. This is the flex cable with the switches. The outer power and volume button caps stay in the frame.
Is it made by Huawei?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality button flex cable made to fit the Huawei Mate 20, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Mate 20 has a glued glass back, and the battery must be disconnected before the flex is removed.
