What this part is
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro charges and connects to computers through a USB-C port at the bottom of the phone. The Mate 20 Pro has no headphone jack, so the port is also used for USB-C headphones and takes a lot of wear.
This part replaces the charging port flex cable. It restores charging, data and USB-C audio when the port is worn or damaged. If a new port does not help, the battery or main board may be at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mate 20 Pro, not a Pro, Lite or other version. The model code (LYA-L09 or LYA-L29) is shown under Settings › About phone › Model.
The Mate 20 Pro has a 6.39-inch curved screen with a wide notch and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The standard Mate 20 has a flat screen and a rear fingerprint sensor.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the glass back, open it and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the lower cover and the parts over the charging flex.
- Disconnect and remove the old flex, then fit the new one.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging, data and USB-C audio.
- Reassemble, reseal the back with new adhesive and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Mate 20 Pro?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Mate 20 Pro. It is made for models LYA-L09 and LYA-L29. It does not fit the Mate 20, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 Lite.
Does it fit the Mate 20?
No. The Mate 20 uses a different charging port part. This flex is for the Mate 20 Pro only.
Will fast charging work again?
If the old port was the cause, yes. Use the charger and cable that came with the phone, as other chargers may charge more slowly.
Is it made by Huawei?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port flex cable made to fit the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Mate 20 Pro has a glued glass back and a curved screen, so it needs heat, the right tools and new adhesive.
