What this part is
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 charges through a micro-USB port on a small board at the bottom of the phone. After years of use the port wears, collects lint or corrodes, so the cable no longer makes a good contact.
This part replaces the whole charging port board. It restores charging and data when the port is at fault. If a new board does not help, an old battery is the next thing to check.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mate 7, not a Pro, Lite or other version. The model code (MT7-L09 or MT7-TL10) is shown under Settings › About phone › Model.
The Ascend Mate 7 has a 6-inch screen and a fingerprint sensor on the back, below the camera.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM and memory card trays.
- Open the back cover carefully and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the lower cover and disconnect the charging board flex.
- Unscrew the old board and fit the new one.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging and a computer connection.
- Refit the covers and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Mate 7?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Mate 7. It is made for models MT7-L09 and MT7-TL10. It does not fit the Mate 8, Mate 9.
Does it fit the Mate 8?
No. The Mate 8 uses a different charging board. This part is for the Ascend Mate 7 only.
What kind of charging port is it?
It is a micro-USB port, the same type the Ascend Mate 7 shipped with.
Is it made by Huawei?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port board made to fit the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
