How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mate 9. The model number should be MHA-L09 or MHA-L29.
The Mate 9 has a 5.9-inch screen. The Mate 9 Pro is a different phone with a curved-edge screen.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the Huawei Mate 9 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone with gentle heat and plastic opening tools.
- Remove the screws and inner cover, then disconnect the battery before touching any other part.
- Unplug and peel away the old button flex from the frame.
- Fit the new flex so each switch lines up with its button, then reconnect it.
- Reconnect the battery and test power and volume buttons before closing the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
