What this part is
The loudspeaker at the bottom of the Huawei P Smart 2020 plays ringtones, alarms, media and speakerphone audio. Water, dust and high volume can damage it, leaving sound quiet, buzzy or missing.
This part replaces the loudspeaker unit. The earpiece at the top of the phone is a separate part. If sound is still missing after fitting, check the sound settings and try headphones; an audio fault on the main board needs a board repair.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read P Smart 2020. The model number should be POT-LX1A.
The P Smart 2020 and P Smart 2019 look very alike. Check the model number: the 2020 version is POT-LX1A.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Huawei P Smart 2020 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover to soften the adhesive and lift it off carefully with a plastic opening tool.
- Remove the screws and inner cover, then disconnect the battery before touching any other part.
- Remove the old loudspeaker from the bottom of the phone.
- Fit the new loudspeaker, making sure its contacts line up, and refit the covers and screws.
- Reconnect the battery, power on and test ringtones, media and speakerphone before resealing.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
