What this part is
On the Huawei P30 Lite the power and volume keys press against a thin flex cable inside the frame. Drops, heavy use and liquid can break its contacts, so a key clicks but does nothing, or only works when pressed hard.
This flex cable replaces those contacts. The outer keys are reused from your phone. If the phone still does not respond after the flex is replaced, the fault may be in the main board.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read P30 Lite and the model number should be MAR-LX1A or MAR-LX1M or MAR-LX1B.
The P30 Lite model number starts MAR-. The P30 starts ELE- and the P30 Pro starts VOG-.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the SIM tray and warm the back glass evenly to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the back glass with a thin pick, then remove the screws and cover plates over the part.
- Disconnect the battery connector before touching any other part.
- Unplug the old button flex, loosen its adhesive and lift it away from the frame.
- Fit the new flex so its contacts sit behind the keys, then plug it in.
- Reconnect the battery, test every key, then close with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
