What this part is
The Huawei P8 Lite 2017 power and volume buttons press on small switches mounted on a thin flex cable inside the phone. Drops, moisture and wear can crack the flex or wear out a switch, and the buttons then stop working or act on their own.
This flex cable carries the power and volume switches together, so one part restores all the side buttons. It fixes switch and flex faults, not a bent or missing outer button cap.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read P8 Lite 2017 and the model number PRA-LX1, not P8 Lite (2015).
The P8 Lite 2017 has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The 2015 P8 Lite does not.

- Power the P8 Lite 2017 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone using the correct method for this model, warming any glued panel first.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Remove the old flex cable from the frame and its connector.
- Fit the new flex, lining the switches up with the button caps, and test every button before closing.
- Close the phone and run a final check of power, volume and screenshots.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
