Overview
What this part is
The charging port on the Huawei Y6 2018 wears with daily plugging in, and lint, moisture or a dropped cable can damage the pins. When the port fails, the phone may charge slowly, stop and start, or not charge at all.
This part is the complete charging port board, with the micro-USB socket already fitted. Replacing the whole board is more reliable than repairing a single socket. Before you buy, try a different cable and charger and gently clean the port, as a dirty port can cause the same faults.

- A computer does not recognise the phone over USB
How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Y6 2018, not Y6 2019.
The Y6 2018 has a 5.7-inch screen with no notch. The Y6 2019 has a teardrop notch.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Y6 2018 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone using the correct method for this model, warming any glued panel to soften the adhesive.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Unscrew and lift out the old charging port board, noting the routing of any cables.
- Fit the new board, reconnect everything and test charging and USB data before closing.
- Close the phone, sealing any glued panel with new adhesive, and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Y6 2018?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Y6 2018. It does not fit the Y6 2019.
Does it fit the Y6 2019?
No. The Y6 2019 is a different phone with different internal parts. Check Settings › About phone before ordering.
Which connector does it have?
It has a micro-USB socket, the same type the Huawei Y6 2018 uses. It comes as a complete board, so no soldering is needed.
Is it made by Huawei?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality part made to fit the Huawei Y6 2018, and every part is tested before dispatch.

We recommend professional installation. The Y6 2018 has to be opened and the battery disconnected safely to reach the charging board.
