What this part is
The loudspeaker on the Huawei Y7 2018 plays ringtones, alarms, media and speakerphone calls. Water, dust and drops can damage the speaker cone, and the sound becomes distorted, crackly or stops altogether.
This part replaces the loud speaker (often called the ringer or buzzer). Before you buy, check the speaker grille is clean and the phone is not stuck in headphone mode. If normal calls held to your ear are quiet, the earpiece is at fault, not this part.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Y7 2018, not Y7 2019.
The Y7 2018 has a 5.99-inch screen with no notch. The Y7 2019 has a teardrop notch.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the Y7 2018 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone using the correct method for this model, warming any glued panel first.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other part.
- Remove the old loudspeaker from the bottom of the phone.
- Fit the new loudspeaker and test ringtone, media and speakerphone before closing.
- Close the phone and run a final check of sound, calls and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Only speakerphone calls. Normal calls held to your ear use the earpiece at the top of the phone, which is a separate part.
