The SIM tray on the Huawei Y9a slides into the side of the frame and holds your SIM cards against the contacts inside. A lost, bent or cracked tray can stop the phone reading the SIM, let dust in, or jam in the slot.

Open Settings › About phone. The model should read FRL-L22 or FRL-L23.
The Y9s and Y9 2019 are different phones with different trays.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Huawei Y9a off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray and pull the old tray out, if it is still there.
- Place your SIM card(s) in the new tray with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner lined up.
- Slide the tray back into the slot the same way round until it sits flush with the frame.
- Power on and check that the phone reads the SIM card.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
