What this part is
The iPad 3 and iPad 4 share the same front touch glass, which sits over a separate LCD. A cracked front or dead touch with a clear picture underneath means only the glass needs replacing.
This part is the glass only. It is glued to the frame, so the old glass comes out with heat and the new one goes in with fresh adhesive. Work cleanly: dust or marks trapped over the LCD will show once it is sealed.

How to check your model
Turn the iPad over and read the small print on the back, or open Settings › General › About. It should show A1403, A1416, A1458 or A1459.
The iPad 3 has a 30-pin dock connector and the iPad 4 has Lightning. The iPad 2 is thinner and uses a different glass.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPad off and warm the edges of the cracked glass.
- Lift the glass in small sections, then remove the LCD to reach the glass cable.
- Disconnect the old glass and clean all adhesive and fragments from the frame.
- Move the home button and any small parts across if your new glass needs them.
- Connect the new glass and test touch before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, press the glass down evenly and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Does it fit the iPad 2?
No. The iPad 2 uses its own glass, even though the screen size is the same.
Is the home button included?
Check the photos. If it is not fitted, move the home button across from your old glass.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality touch digitiser glass made to fit the iPad 3 and iPad 4, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
