What this part is
The iPad 6th generation uses a separate LCD beneath its touch glass. If the glass and touch are fine but the picture is black, lined or marked, the LCD is the part at fault.
This panel is the LCD only. The front glass is removed with heat and refitted over the new panel. The 6th Gen supports Apple Pencil (1st generation) through the touch glass, so the glass must be in good order for the Pencil to work.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About and tap Model Number until it shows an A-number. It should read A1893 or A1954. The A-number is also on the back.
The iPad 6th Gen has a 9.7-inch screen and a home button. The 5th Gen looks the same but uses A1822 or A1823.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPad off and warm the edges of the glass to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the touch glass carefully, keeping its flex cables safe, and disconnect the battery.
- Unscrew and disconnect the damaged LCD, then connect the new LCD and the touch glass.
- Power on and test the picture, brightness and touch before sealing.
- Clean the frame, apply new adhesive and press the glass down evenly.
- Final check: display, touch, home button, cameras, speakers and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my iPad 6th Gen?
Yes, if the A-number is A1893 or A1954.
Does it fit the iPad 5th Gen (2017)?
We list a separate LCD for the 5th Gen (A1822 / A1823). Please order that one for a 5th Gen iPad.
Will my Apple Pencil still work?
The Pencil works through the touch glass, not the LCD. If your glass is undamaged and refitted correctly, the Pencil should work as before.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality LCD panel made to fit the iPad 6th Gen, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The glass is glued in and cracks easily if it is forced.
