What this part is
The iPad mini 3 looks almost the same as the mini 2, but its home button has Touch ID, so its digitiser is made differently. If the glass is cracked and the picture below is still clean, this is the part you need.
Only the touch glass is replaced. The old glass has to be removed in pieces, the frame cleaned, and the new panel lined up and bonded. The home button must be moved across carefully, because Touch ID is paired to the iPad's own home button.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About and look at Model Name. Tap Model Number to see the A number, which is also printed in small text on the back of the iPad. It should read iPad mini 3 with an A number of A1599 or A1600.
The mini 3 home button has a metal ring for Touch ID. The mini 2 home button is plain and needs a different digitiser.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power off and heat the edges of the cracked glass.
- Remove the broken glass, protecting the LCD beneath it.
- Clean the frame of old adhesive and glass chips.
- Move the Touch ID home button and bracket to the new glass.
- Connect and test touch and Touch ID before sealing.
- Fit new adhesive, line up the glass and press it down evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my iPad mini 3?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPad mini 3 and your A number is A1599 or A1600.
Does it fit the iPad mini 2?
No. The mini 2 digitiser is different because the mini 3 has a Touch ID home button. We sell a separate mini 1 and mini 2 digitiser.
Will Touch ID still work?
Touch ID is paired to your own home button. It must be moved across carefully without damaging its cable. A new home button cannot give Touch ID.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality digitiser made to fit the iPad mini 3, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Touch ID cable is fragile and the glass must be bonded cleanly.
