The iPad mini 5 was the first mini with Apple Pencil support. Its screen is one laminated part, with the glass, touch layer and LCD joined together, so any crack or touch fault means replacing the full assembly.
This listing covers the A2124, A2126 and A2133 versions, in black or white. The home button is not part of the display fault and must be moved across from the old screen. Touch ID is paired to the iPad's own button.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About and look at Model Name. Tap Model Number to see the A number, which is also printed in small text on the back of the iPad. It should read iPad mini (5th generation), with an A number of A2124, A2126 or A2133.
The iPad mini 5 works with the 1st generation Apple Pencil. The mini 4 does not.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Switch the iPad off and warm the screen edges.
- Cut the adhesive with picks, going slowly near the home button.
- Disconnect the battery before the screen cables.
- Transfer the home button and connect the new screen.
- Test touch, picture, Apple Pencil and Touch ID.
- Seal with new adhesive and press evenly around the edges.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
