What this part is
The earpiece speaker sits at the top of the iPhone 11 Pro, behind the slot above the screen. It plays the other person's voice during normal calls. Dust in the mesh, a drop or water can leave it quiet, crackly or silent, while speakerphone still works.
This part is the speaker only. It sits under the display, so the screen has to be opened to reach it. Before buying, clean the mesh gently with a soft brush and check that call volume is turned up, as a blocked mesh is a common cause.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 11 Pro. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (A2215, A2160, A2217).
The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch screen and three rear cameras. The 11 Pro Max looks the same but is larger, with a 6.5-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, warm the screen edges and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery, then the display cables.
- Remove the bracket over the earpiece and lift out the old speaker.
- Seat the new speaker in the same position and refit the bracket.
- Reconnect the display and battery, make a test call and check the volume.
- Reseal the display with new adhesive and press it evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
