What this part is
The SIM card reader is a small socket soldered to the logic board of the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. Its spring contacts press on the nano-SIM when the tray is pushed in. If a contact is bent, corroded or snapped, often after a wrong-sized tray or a bent SIM is forced in, the phone shows No SIM or drops signal.
This part replaces that socket. It does not replace the SIM tray. Fitting means removing the logic board and soldering the new reader in place with hot air, so it is a job for an experienced board-level technician. Before buying, try a different SIM and a new tray to rule out simpler causes.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (11 Pro: A2215, A2160, A2217; 11 Pro Max: A2218, A2161, A2220).
The 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch screen and the 11 Pro Max a 6.5-inch screen. Both have three rear cameras. The iPhone 11 has two and needs a different part.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the SIM tray and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery, then remove the logic board from the housing.
- Pre-heat the board and remove the old reader with hot air and flux.
- Clean the pads, align the new reader and solder it in place.
- Check the joints under a microscope, then refit the board.
- Reassemble and test with a known-good SIM: signal, calls and mobile data.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
