Overview
What this part is
The iPhone 12 charging port is part of a flex cable that runs along the bottom of the phone. The Lightning port wears with daily use, and lint, liquid or a bent cable can damage the pins, so the phone charges slowly, only at an angle, or not at all.
This part replaces the charging port flex cable. Before ordering, try a different cable and charger and gently clear any lint from the port. If the phone still will not charge or sync with a computer, the port is the likely fault. Wireless charging problems are not fixed by this part.

Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 12. Tap the Model Number to show the A-number, which should be one of A2403, A2172, A2402 or A2404.
The iPhone 12 has a 6.1-inch OLED screen and two rear cameras. The iPhone 12 Pro is the same size but has three rear cameras and a LiDAR sensor.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Try a known good cable and charger and clean the port to confirm the fault.
- Power the phone off, remove the bottom pentalobe screws and warm the screen edges.
- Open the display and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the parts covering the charging flex, then unscrew and lift out the old flex.
- Fit the new charging port flex, reconnect everything and test charging and data.
- Apply new screen adhesive, close the phone and refit the pentalobe screws.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my iPhone 12?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPhone 12. It fits models A2403, A2172, A2402 and A2404.
Does it fit the iPhone 12 Pro?
This listing is for the iPhone 12. For the iPhone 12 Pro, choose our iPhone 12 Pro charging port listing. It does not fit the iPhone 12 Mini or 12 Pro Max.
Which colour should I choose?
Pick the colour that matches your phone's frame. The colour shows only around the port at the bottom edge. It does not change how the port works.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port flex cable made to fit the iPhone 12, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The charging flex in the iPhone 12 sits deep inside the phone, so several parts must come out after the screen is opened and the battery disconnected.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5. Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt.
