What this part is
The earpiece is the small speaker at the top of the iPhone 12 Mini that you hear callers through. Dust in the mesh, liquid or a drop can make it quiet, muffled or crackly, while speakerphone still works normally from the bottom loudspeaker.
This is the speaker only. Before ordering, gently clean the earpiece mesh and remove any screen protector or case that covers it. If the screen does not turn off during calls as well, you may need the earpiece assembly with sensor flex instead.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 12 Mini. Tap the Model Number to show the A-number, which should be one of A2399, A2176, A2398 or A2400.
The iPhone 12 Mini has a 5.4-inch OLED screen and two rear cameras. The iPhone 12 is larger, with a 6.1-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Clean the earpiece mesh first, then power the phone off.
- Remove the bottom pentalobe screws, warm the screen edges and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery, then remove the screen.
- Take off the bracket over the earpiece at the top of the phone and lift out the old earpiece.
- Fit the new earpiece, refit the bracket and screen, and test a call.
- Apply new screen adhesive and close the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

No. This earpiece is for the iPhone 12 Mini only. The iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max need their own parts.
Will this fix a screen that stays on during calls?
No. That is the proximity sensor, which is on a separate flex cable. Choose the earpiece speaker assembly with sensor flex if you have both faults.

No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality earpiece speaker made to fit the iPhone 12 Mini, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The earpiece sits behind the screen, so the display must be opened with heat and resealed afterwards.
