What this part is
The loudspeaker at the base of the iPhone 12 mini plays your ringtone, alarms, media and speakerphone calls. Over time the mesh can fill with dust, and water or a drop can damage the speaker, leaving sound quiet, rattly or gone.
This part replaces the complete loudspeaker module. Call audio at your ear comes from a separate earpiece speaker at the top, so if only calls at your ear are quiet, this is not the part you need.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPhone 12 mini.
The iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4-inch screen. The iPhone 12 is larger at 6.1 inches and uses a different loudspeaker.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the two bottom screws and warm the screen edges.
- Open the display and disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the screws holding the loudspeaker and lift it out.
- Fit the new loudspeaker, making sure any seals and brackets sit correctly.
- Reconnect the battery and test ringtone, music and speakerphone.
- Seal the phone with new adhesive and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
